(SSD, a.s.) is an electricity distribution company operating in Žilina and Banská Bystrica regions, together with a part of Trenčín region, on which territory it distributes electricity nearly to 760,000 customers - both businesses and households. Moreover, the company provides its customers with all services in the field of operation of distribution networks.

Stredoslovenská distribučná, a.s., was established on 8th April 2006 as the Stredoslovenská energetika - Distribúcia, a.s. As from 1st March 2018 the company changed its business name to the current one Stredoslovenská distribučná, a.s.

Scope of business

The main scope of business of the company is the electricity distribution. However, in order to be able to perform this activity properly, the company perform the other activities as well, such as assemblies and repairs of measurement and regulation equipment, design of electric facilities, engineering activities etc.
